Investigating the role of sexual issues in the married life of Couples Applicants for divorce by thematic method

Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to study the role of sexual issues in the married life of Couples applicants for divorce. The research method is Fundamental of purpose and descriptive-analytical method. The statistical population of the study included all couples applicants for divorce in Amol city who had referred to the city court from October to December 2019. In this study, the sample was available from among the couples seeking divorce in Amol city and a semi-structured interview was conducted on the referring couple, and finally the number of samples was saturated with 20 couples. Findings were quantitatively analyzed using percentage and frequency and chi-square test. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the responses of men and women regarding the importance of sex in cohabitation in single life and the role of sexual dissatisfaction in the collapse of cohabitation; While there is a difference between the responses of men and women regarding the importance of sex in cohabitation after marriage, the role of sex in the emergence of divorce, regarding the continuation or separation of each other due to sexual dissatisfaction. Women overestimated the importance of sexual issues after marriage and the importance of sex in the breakdown of married life and the emergence of divorce than men.
